Educator Instructions
- Introduction (5 mins)
Greet students and introduce the topic of sequencing. Ask if they know what it means to put things in order. Use a simple example like getting dressed (socks, shoes, then outside). - Video Viewing (10 mins)
Watch the "Sequencing Stories - Episode 4" video from Print2Teach. Pause after each short story to allow for discussion. - Story Retelling (10 mins)
After each story, guide students to retell what happened first, next, and last. Use prompts like, "What did the girl do first?" or "What happened after the balloon got bigger?" - Drawing Activity (15 mins)
Have students choose one of the stories from the video. Provide them with paper and crayons. Ask them to draw three pictures showing what happened first, next, and last in the story. Encourage them to label their pictures with simple words or sounds they know. - Wrap Up (5 mins)
Review the concept of sequencing and ask students to share their drawings with the class. Praise their efforts and encourage them to continue practicing sequencing skills at home.
